Patience Series - Hiking
Yoga helps bring awareness to those areas. Helps us feel into the parts we have either consciously or subconsciously ignored. The glutes, hips, shoulders, and neck are the main areas where emotions get stored. Diverting our attention from those spaces helps us forget those emotions. So, what happens when we start to bring awareness to those parts again?
Patience Series
There is a stereotype for people that have patience. As if patience equates to laziness. I believe it can be the exact opposite. I think patience can allow someone to work hard while understanding that practice and patience is what will get them to their eventual outcome. Being patient doesn’t have to mean you do nothing besides sit there. Patience does not equate to laziness. Patience is different.
The Root
We haven’t made those decisions on who can nourish us. We trust all of those around us because that’s all we know. We are looking to just get our physical needs met when we are in this state. We don’t know how to filter out what is unwanted. That is why it is so important to revisit this chakra as often as possible. To continue to grow the most important trust there is, the trust in the self. After physical abuse, abandonment, neglect, illness, poverty, it can be difficult to build that trust again. Physical abuse can also be self-inflicted through eating disorders, intentional self-inflicting pain, and neglect of your own needs and feelings. If anything feels missing, come back to this.
